IM JUST LUCKY I GUESS
She's my girl she's my world she's my life to me
She's my girl she's my world she's my wife to be
She makes me act n' dress my best keeps me filled with happiness
well I don't know I'm just lucky I guess
What a lucky day it was when I met her what a lucky streak to meet with the best
But don't ask me how I came to win her well I don't know I'm just lucky I guess
She's my girl she's my world...
instrumental
She will bring me memories extra special she's so different not like all the rest
Since I met her how I've changed she's gonna let me change her name
well I don't know I'm just lucky I guess
She's my girl she's my world...

Phil, thank you in advance for your reply. It's appreciated. Yes, I did write "I'm Just Lucky, I Guess" or I should say write it down because it came to me one day. I thank you so much for putting it in your album. I ordered it today as I didn't know about it until now.I used to write for Starday in Nashville. I wrote it in 1962 and Red Sovine recorded it in 1965 in the Giddy-Up Go Album. I like your version of it and my wife got excited when I let her hear it.I've had several songs recorded over the years and now am working with HEARTOFTEXAS recording and publishing in Brady Texas to get more songs recorded. I've had 2 cuts by Don Sneed "Let's Love Ourselves Into tomorrow" and "Play Me A Song". Jamey Ryan cut " My Dreams Are Having Re-runs"as well as singing the demo for "I'm Just Lucky, I Guess" and Jean Kendall cut "I've Not Gone Off The Deep-End Yet" and "If That's What You Want Me To Believe" and several others have been recorded..I also write country Gospel songs as well and have had some cut.Life is good Phil because I'm with the Lord and I've always believed he gives me the songs to write.I'd appreciate sending a few new songs to you at your request and time. I laid down 3 songs this week in the studio and I hope a few more next week as well. Bless you and your family and thanks for recording our song. Please let me know how it's going along with your album, J. D.
Thanks John. I appreciate your contact . Regards Phil
